Victoria Falls — known locally as Mosi-oa-Tunya, 'The Smoke that Thunders' — is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. At 1,708 metres wide and 108 metres tall, it is the largest curtain of falling water on Earth.
The best views are from the Zimbabwe side, where a well-maintained path offers 16 lookout points. During high water (February–July), the spray can soak you from hundreds of metres away — take a raincoat!
For a unique perspective, take a helicopter 'Flight of Angels' or a microlight flight over the gorge. The sunset from above the Falls is simply unforgettable.
